Our third Memory Making Day on 4th April 2013 at the Brighton dome provided a unique experience for children from Demelza House – James Children’s Hospice and children from Clic Sargent’s Oncology department at Sussex Hospital. They were joined by siblings, best friends and carers, and had an opportunity to star in their very own pop video, to a remix of Glee’s ABC originally by the Jackson’s 5
Building up networks of support, raising self-esteem, reclaiming identity and dignity, this magical day moves them away from their day to day challenges by providing glitter and glamour and celebrating lives.
“My little girl loves it and it is a fantastic chance for them to socialise and break down boundaries.
She loves being on the stage, dancing and the cameras.
People come down to support them.
It is nice to be doing something that is not hospital related.”
– Kirstin Seriven from Seaford
